To begin with the end, certainly no one knows how to actually originated the term "TANGO"
There are many theories, ranging from African origins - Portuguese and Cuban origins, the only true that began in the River Plate (Río de La Plata) in Buenos Aires especially in the years 1850 and which took shape only for the year 1880, during these 30 years, the music and lyrics were often anonymous source.
Theory of African origin:
For the dance of blacks men and mulattoes were named "Tango" to be danced openly (no hug), in contrast to dance called "dancehall" is embraced danced with a partner who could be the same sex or not.
